Learn how different organizations foster strengthened families by inspiring men to be sparks for change who champion women's income growth. Engaging men in dialogues about gender norms fosters healthier relationships, economic growth, reduced violence, and overall improved economic independence for women.
    Addressing harmful gender norms is the first step to Systemic Change. Support for the $10 Spark, Igniting Transformation builds a foundation for long term change.

    On sale will be an array of unique gifts in time for the holiday season, courtesy of our projects and our members and friends!  Some of these items include Pashmina and silk shawls, scented candles, jewellery, clothes, bags, coffee and olive oil, and much more to be announce. The list goes on with many amazing pieces of craftsmanship on offer.

  • New Member Onboarding Meeting

    For new Giving Women members,
    We would like to offer you the opportunity to get to know Giving Women better by attending an onboarding meeting either in-person on 31 January at 13:00 CET at our office in Geneva or via Zoom (details upon registration). There may be some of our new members are not so new and may have missed a previous onboarding so this is also your chance to join us.

    During the meeting, you will get more information about Giving Women and how you can get involved. This is also an opportunity to meet other new Giving Women members.  The meeting will last 1 hour and you don't need to prepare in any way. It will be quite informal with our managing director, Kathleen, and at least one member of our Executive Committee sharing about Giving Women and you will have the chance to ask questions.

  • Financial Reporting Challenges for Grassroots Organisations: Building Trust, Transparency and Resilience

    Workshop

    Grassroots non-profit organisations frequently encounter challenges in meeting the increasing demands for financial transparency and accountability. This workshop addresses common issues such as maintaining donor trust, and managing resource limitations.
    Participants will gain valuable insights through engaging discussions and practical case studies, with  “a walk in their shoes” type discussion with many practical examples.

     Giving Women is hosting a series of events to raise awareness about the most pressing challenges faced by women and girls in underserved communities. As part of this initiative, we are delighted to invite Sara Aduse, founder of the Sara Aduse Foundation, to share her impactful work in Ethiopia to end female genital mutilation (FGM). Through education and community engagement, her foundation empowers girls and women to live safe, healthy, and dignified lives. We will also introduce the work of Giving Women and warmly welcome those interested in joining our community.

  • Feminine Leadership – What is it? Why is it important?

    Join Giving Women and an inspiring  group of women-leaders  who will tell their stories and share their insights. The panel will be moderated by the ever jubilant Katharina Samara-Wickrama, who for years has advocated for women-led movements to effect the change. Giving Women is actively supporting to improve the lives of women from the most vulnerable and underserved communities around the world. How can we ensure that women leaders at the grass-root level, in local communities and at the government level are always at the table and heard?

  • From posts to influence: how to create impactful social media content and build trust

    Workshop

    This workshop will delve into the strategies for creating impactful organic content on social media, with examples of best practices that drive engagement and visibility. Participants will learn how to establish themselves as trusted thought-leaders, using LinkedIn as a platform to build awareness and generate interest in their organizations. 

  • US Foreign Aid Freeze: Where Do We Go From Here? Part 2 – Livelihoods

    Giving Women is organizing a panel of speakers to discuss the implications of the USAID shutdown on the global public health sector. The goal is to understand the grave impact on underserved communities and the supply chains they have grown to depend on. We will also learn about the effect on community-based organisations (CBOs), and NGOs and aim to agree on some principle for rapid response and gradual system change.
