Join us for this very informative and interactive online workshop
About this Event
Are you managing a foundation or sitting on a foundation board? Do you ask yourself how to operate it efficiently and mitigate risks? You probably know that this is a complex space!
Giving Women invites you to the first part of our online workshops on how to operate foundations efficiently (the second part on Governance for Foundations will follow in June):
How to Operate Foundations Efficiently
(Part 1): Risk Management and VAT
We are very honoured to have experts from ECHO SA help us understand the risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Come with your questions, your concerns and this interactive workshop will be your chance to get some answers and support you on your journey.
Our friends at ECHO SA will share their expertise on the key issues and challenged faced by foundations in terms of accounting, audit and tax.
The workshop will be split in two parts:
Risk management introduced by Clémentine Largeteau and Christophe Masson (ECHO SA). In order to safeguard stakeholders’ interests, we will discuss the main risks and best practices to mitigate their potential impact.
Swiss VAT challenges introduced by Mathilde Granger (ECHO SA). We will discuss the main VAT topics of interest for foundations: VAT registration, acquisition tax, differences between donation, subvention and sponsoring, the VAT deduction right: there are many questions and the answers are not always straight-forward
PLEASE NOTE: All registrants will receive Zoom login details on the day of the event in an email from our Operations Manager, Kathleen Holmlund.
