SUMMARY:Discussion & Apero in Zürich: Empowering Women Through Sustainable Solar Solutions in the Fight Against Climate Change
DESCRIPTION:Empowering Women Through Sustainable Solar Solutions in the Fight Against Climate Change: A Success Story of GreenLamp and partnership with Solar Foundation Ethiopia\n \nThis Giving Women event builds upon the themes explored in our recent conference\, “Women at the Frontline of Climate Action and Innovation.” It offers a compelling case study of GreenLamps “Light” pillar\, showcasing a sustainable solar success story that empowers women in the most underserved communities. Joanna Boyd from GreenLamp will highlight the transformative impact of solar energy in enhancing women’s lives\, focusing on health\, education\, and economic opportunities. Samson Tsegaye\, from the Solar Foundation Ethiopia\, will discuss the organization’s vital role and explain why this collaboration with GreenLamp has been so successful in addressing climate issues at the grassroots level. The session will also delve into the challenges faced\, the solutions crafted\, and how strategic partnerships can deliver long-lasting impact.\n \nThe event will offer participants actionable insights to apply in their own project circles\, addressing critical questions such as: How do we create meaningful partnerships to tackle climate-related issues? How do we ensure that the most underserved communities\, especially women\, are at the centre of our sustainability efforts? Join us to learn\, exchange ideas\, and be inspired to create change where it matters most.
