SUMMARY:Understanding Yourself As An Effective Listener and Communicator
DESCRIPTION:In the dynamic landscape of global projects\, the ability to truly listen and comprehend the needs of project owners is paramount. To achieve remarkable results we need to equip ourselves with skills to not just hear\, but to deeply understand the needs of our project owners and to collaborate within our teams. \nThis workshop goes beyond the mere theory of active listening; it’s a hands-on journey into effective communication. Through insightful discussions\, real-world examples extracted from ongoing projects and a look at your personal history with communication you’ll learn more about the art of active listening and empathetic understanding. \nUnderstanding that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach\, we guide you to explore your unique  style and provide personalized strategies for improvement. After all\, the key to becoming an exceptional listener lies with understanding yourself and your strengths and challenges. \nOur facilitators \nRenate Hauser has over 40 years of experience as a clinical psychiatrist and psychotherapist. She has taught counselling skills to students at university level and communication skills to junior doctors. \nCharlie Page is a Canadian trained teen and family psychotherapist and the founder of a youth and female empowerment FOPSE (for profit social enterprise) in Toronto. \nTogether they provide a fun and informative workshop specifically designed and geared toward Giving Women projects and the circles around them. They include Insights into their experiences of listening\, being heard and connecting with others in their psychotherapeutic practises and beyond.
