SUMMARY:From growing pains to growing gains - Part 3 - Monitoring and evaluation frameworks
DESCRIPTION:Workshop 3 of 6: Monitoring and evaluation frameworks\n\nBuilding on the reflections from Workshops 1 and 2\, this session focuses on translating your evolving Theory of Change into clear\, realistic\, and measurable outcomes through monitoring and evaluation frameworks. Rather than treating monitoring and evaluation frameworks as a rigid donor requirement\, the workshop invites participants to explore these frameworks as practical tools for learning\, accountability\, and strategic decision-making. With insights from our expert in MEAL (Monitoring\, Evaluation\, Accountability & Learning)\, participants will examine how outcomes\, indicators\, assumptions\, and risks can be aligned with organisational capacity and changing contexts—ensuring that MEAL supports growth\, adaptation\, and meaningful impact. \n\n\nAbout the facilitator\nSilvia Guizzardi serves as the Senior Advisor for Impact  at Oak Foundation. With over 20 years of experience in strategic development and monitoring\, evaluation and learning in international cooperation and philanthropy\, she focuses on enhancing programmatic impact narrative and effectiveness.  (Silvia kindly agreed to step in last minute and replace Riswana Soundardjee from GAVI who came down with the flu and had to pull out)\n\n\n\nAbout the workshop series\n\nNavigating growth and transitions so your organisation can thrive through change – In this time of great upheaval and uncertainty in the development and humanitarian sectors\, we are all reflecting on the changes needed within our organisations to meet these challenges. Giving Women invites you to a six-part workshop series designed to help organisations navigate growth and transition\, enabling them to thrive amidst change and theses challenging times.\n\n\n\n\nTicket options & details\n\nMembers: Free\nNot yet a member? You can purchase tickets for a single workshop or the full series.\n\nIndividual session ticket: You will receive the recording and supporting materials for that session.Series ticket: You will receive the recordings and supporting materials for all six workshops.

SUMMARY:Unlocking youth livelihoods through digital skills

SUMMARY:Ending gender-based violence - the power of partnership across borders
DESCRIPTION:Three women. Three perspectives. One shared mission: to transform systems and behaviour through female empowerment. \nThis conversation brings together voices from Giving Women\, Ashoka\, and Huellas y Futuro. Working across continents and contexts\, from grassroots to strategy –  to explore how we build community\, shift power\, and support women-led change around the world. \n\nDaniela Valdivia from Huellas y Futuro\, will share her work addressing gender-based violence (GBV) and how her  women’s empowerment work has made a tangible impact in Bolivia.\nCharlie Page from Giving Women and founder of Power4Teens\, will spotlight her work on girl empowerment. Through her work with Giving Women\, she will amplify the powerful Kenyan female voices.\nPerrine de le Court\, from Ashoka\, will share how her work supporting social entrepreneurs across the world has shown that when women are equipped with the confidence\, tools\, and networks to lead change they don’t just transform their own lives\, they transform entire ecosystems.\n\nThis is more than a conversation. It is an invitation to pause\, reflect\, and ask: what does it mean to be empowered\, how would female empowerment reduce GBV and what role can you play in this collective transformation? \nAccess to recording:\nThe recording will be shared after the event on Giving Women’s Youtube channel

SUMMARY:Workshop - Beyond the Binary: Transforming Work Through Gender Stories
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an interactive 1.5-hour workshop that invites you to rethink how gender influences the way we work\, lead\, and show up in the world. Through powerful storytelling and real-life narratives\, we will examine how gender shapes experiences in banking halls\, boardrooms\, and community spaces. Together\, we will challenge assumptions\, surface hidden biases\, and explore new ways of leading with empathy\, equity\, and courage. This is more than a session on gender — it is an opportunity to reimagine leadership that is inclusive\, transformative\, and grounded in lived realities. \nAbout our speaker\nDr. Suchi Gaur is a feminist leader\, strategist\, and advocate for gender justice\, youth leadership\, and social impact. She is the Founder of Mission Hummingbirds\, supporting intergenerational women founders and creators around the world\, and serves as Senior Director of Strategy and Operations at World YWCA\, where she drives global programming and advocacy across 65+ countries. \nWith a Ph.D. in Communication and over 18 years of experience\, Dr. Gaur is widely recognised for her work in decolonial feminist frameworks\, intergenerational leadership\, and intersectional justice. She has led pioneering initiatives in SRHR\, GBV\, peace and security\, and feminist storytelling and research — working from grassroots to global levels to influence policy and practice. A strong advocate for ethical storytelling and hope-based communication\, she mentors young leaders and speaks internationally on building a more just and equitable world. \nAccess to materials\nRecordings and all workshop resources are shared after the event with members\, active projects\, and ticket holders.

SUMMARY:Panel Conversation: US Foreign Aid Freeze: Where Do We Go From Here? Part 2 - Livelihoods
DESCRIPTION:Following our recent panel on the impact and opportunities arising from the recent funding cuts\, including the shutdown of USAID and global reductions in development aid\, Giving Women has organized a second panel focusing on the effects on the livelihoods of women in the most underserved communities. We will hear firsthand accounts from those on the front lines of this crisis and explore principles and approaches that could be leveraged to respond swiftly and build greater resilience into our systems. \nThe panel will be moderated by our member and Director\, Bitesize Capital\, Khani Bonnet. SUMMARY:Collective huddle to make sense\, build solidarity and hope for the future of the international development industry
DESCRIPTION:Dire pronouncements abound: international development is “crumbling\,” “unraveling\,” and facing “systemic shocks.” \nBut what is happening\, really? And how can we make sense of it all\, together? How can we build solidarity and support each other through this critical transition. Join peers in the global Giving Women community for a 90-minute interactive session to see and be seen\, support and be supported\, and explore provocative questions such as:   \nWhat are you seeing around you? What is most disorienting? What emotions are you struggling to process? \nWhat are we willingly let go of from the old system? What do we need to protect and concerve? \nAre there any inspirational actions\, approaches or principles that can help guide our response to the crisis? \nWhat can we each contribute to the imagining a new or emerging system? \nThe collective huddle will be facilitated by: \nKatherine Milligan\, University Lecturer and Advisor in Social Innovation & Impact\nElianna Sabbag Moquette\, Director at if Foundation

SUMMARY:Practical Strategic Planning To Achieve Your Organisation's Goals
DESCRIPTION:Register belowBuilding an organisation\, raising funding and delivering impactful results for stakeholders is hugely challenging\, and the idea of building and maintaining a strategic plan can seem like yet more work for funders that takes time away from the important work of getting things done. Yet strategic planning is perhaps the most important work you can do to ensure your organisation achieves its goals as effectively as possible. \nThis workshop will help you understand the role of strategic planning\, and why it’s needed. It will explore who strategic planning is for\, how you go about building a strategic plan for your organisation\, and who should be involved. You will learn how your strategic plan can be linked with your day-to-day work\, and how to adapt your work or your plan in response to changing circumstances. \n  \nThings to think about before the workshop \nDo you have a clear statement of the purpose of your organisation that describes why you are doing your work\, not how you are doing your work?\nCan you identify the three to five key objectives for your organisation over the next 12 months that will mean it is more effectively delivering on its purpose?\nCan you identify three key factors affecting your work that you can directly control?\nCan you identify three key factors affecting your work that you cannot control?\n  \nOur facilitator \n  \nNiall Murphy is a technology entrepreneur and investor. He started his career in the early 1990s and has built and sold several successful and pioneering technology-based businesses in southern Africa\, Europe and the United States\, working with venture and private equity investors. The World Economic Forum named him a Global Innovator. Niall is founder & managing partner of Morphosis\, a climate adaptation solution investor. He has a number of non-executive director and strategic advisory roles. He holds a BSc in Computer Science. A passionate mountaineer\, Niall lives near Geneva and is married with three children.
